Job Description

DevOps Engineers are focused on designing and building solutions to deploy the application in a customer facing environment and automating the operational aspects of the solution via code, as well as focusing on automation of internal dev, test and release activities. They are responsible for practices and processes that are intended to speed up and automate aspects of the processes of developing, testing and releasing software, allowing for the continuous delivery of software and software updates.

Responsibilities

• Build and set up new development tools and infrastructure
• Understand the needs of stakeholders and convey this to developers
• Work on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
• Test and examine code written by others and analyze the results
• Ensure that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
• Identify technical problems and develop software updates and ‘fixes’
• Work with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
• Manage infrastructure projects and processes
• Test implemented designs
• Build and test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning
• Handle code deployments in all environments
• Monitor metrics and develop ways to improve
• Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on development and operations
• Build, maintain, and monitor configuration standards

Requirements

• FAA Clearance
• Education: BS, Experience: 16+ Years, PhD 11+, MS 14+, HS 20+
